1950 Dodge Power Wagon Truck
A blast from the past, The Otto-Cupler Company, which evolved from the Roberts Torpedo Company of 1865, is the oldest well-shooting company operating in the Pennsylvania oil region. Although Adam Cupler died when his nitro wagon exploded in 1903, the company continued to make nitro until their factory blew up in 1978. Used by the company throughout the oil fields, this Dodge Power Wagon was a key factor in their success in finding "black gold". Used by the company for many years, it was eventually retired from duty and then displayed at the Drake Well Museum in Titusville, Pennsylvania, USA. A reminder of the past, it still retains its period patina and "explosive" advertising. Used in period and admired by many in a museum, this rare example would be further welcomed in a future museum, a unique conversation piece in one's collection, or further used on the farm, field, or job site.
