The 1973 Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 stands as a pivotal model in Porsche's storied history, marking a significant evolution in the 911 lineup. Introduced at the Paris Motor Show in October 1972, the Carrera RS (Rennsport) was developed to homologate the 911 for Group 4 racing, requiring the production of at least 500 units.
