Part of the fourth generation of the loved Eldorado name, this 1964 Eldorado Convertible features several notable changes from its predecessors. The first notable change was the facelift they received in 1963, which added a new bi-angular grille, classic fine-blade tailfins, and removal of the fender skirts from the rear. Another upgrade came under the hood, with the introduction of the larger 429-cubic-inch V-8 that produced a smooth 340 horsepower. With a MSRP price of $6,630, just 1,870 of these luxury Packard Eldorado Convertibles would be produced for 1964.
A largely original example, this 1964 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible was sold new on May 7th, 1964, at Smith Motors Company - Cadillac Motor Cars in Elizabeth, New Jersey. This example would reside with the original family until 1998 when a collector of Cadillacs purchased it. Having rarely been driven by Mrs. Valiant, the original owner, the new owner decided to keep that theme and only use it for sunny weekend drives. Toda
