While their sensational V-16 stole headlines in 1930, the mainstay of Cadillac's line was the eight-cylinder 355 series. The 355 series featured the 353-cubic-inch L-head V-8 engine carried over from the Series 353, although continual improvements boosted horsepower and refinement throughout the 1930s. Cadillac's V-8 lineup was improved across the board for 1932, starting with the engine, which gained 20 horsepower to 115 HP through extensive intake revisions and a new carburetor. The three-speed transmission was now fully synchronized. A new frame and smaller 17-inch wheels lowered the 1932 Cadillac V-8 considerably and contributed to some of the most attractive coachwork ever seen in a Cadillac. Cadillac offered four body styles on the 134-inch wheelbase, all by Cadillac President Lawrence Fisher's family coachworks. Styled by Harley Earl, they were sporting, comfortable and handsome, with much of the European flair of his famed insight and vision.

The 1932 Cadillac adopted a streamlined design for the first time, albeit with a subtle and gentle touch, including a longer hood and lowered body, as well as a new flat grille incorporated into the radiator shell, curved steel running boards, and torpedo-shaped headlights. The trunk on the town sedan, town coupe and five-passenger convertible coupe were integral with the body. The vision of the driver was improved by 30-percent as a result of the elimination of the outside visor and the construction of a 12-degree sloping windshield and corner posts. Extensive mechanical changes brought the drivability of the car into the modern era as well, including a boxed steel frame, adjustable shock absorbers, reduced final drive, and Triple-Silent synchromesh manual transmission.

This beautiful automobile, delivered new to Galles Cadillac in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is especially attractive with the lovely convertible All-Weather Phaeton bodywork. It is elegantly presented in tan with a white hood and coachline, as well as a tan cloth top that fits tightly. Equipment includes caramel brown painted wire wheels, Firestone Gum-Dipped wide whitewall tires, dual enclosed side-mounted spare tires with mirrors, and a trunk rack with a restored trunk that is fitted with a cover to match the convertible top. The interior is upholstered in sumptuous brown leather with the correct modeled finish and texture. A second windshield, provided for the comfort of the rear seat passengers, has a hinged, fold-down ability when the top is lowered. When the top is in the up position, a glass that serves as a divider window can be rolled down easily with a chrome crank handle, disappearing into the front seat back that is trimmed luxuriously in leather and wood when lowered. Accessory Cadillac Kelch floor heaters in the front and rear warm the cabin when needed. The passengers also benefit from other luxury amenities that include courtesy lights, a footrest, and assistance bar on the back of the front seat.

Previously residing in the Turlock, California Snider Collection, it has been part of the well-known Florida-based classic car collection of Ed Miller. This Cadillac has received the best of care since its restoration which was done to a very high standard with close attention to detail and authenticity as evidenced by its coveted CCCA (Classic Car Club of America) National Senior First Prize badge it proudly displays, as well as the AACA (Antique Automobile Club of America) National Senior First Place badge affixed to its license plate bracket. A stack of restoration receipts documenting the quality work performed accompanies the car. This rare Cadillac is a stunning, CCCA Full Classic® that is a delight to drive, satisfying to show, and a complement to any classic car collection.
