Having already transformed the automotive industry multiple times with the Model T and the introduction of the manufacturing process known as the assembly line, Henry Ford and the Ford Motor Company once again shook up the industry in 1932 with their introduction of the V-8 engine. Even though the Ford V-8 was not the first production V-8, it was the first mass-produced compact V-8 that was offered to the general public at an affordable price. So successful and loved was Ford's V-8 engine, it would remain in production until 1953, working as the lifeline for some of the company's most historic and iconic models.

Promoted by Ford under their commercial car category and carrying that same iconic V-8 powerplant Ford first introduced in 1932, comes this nicely restored 1934 Ford 1/2-Ton Pickup Truck. The body is finished in the shade of Mountain Brown lacquer which was only available for Ford's commercial cars in 1934 and is nicely complemented by gold pinstriping along the belt line, black fenders, and classic Tacoma Cream wire wheels including a passenger side-mounted spare tire. The body is also accessorized with dual side mirrors, fog lights, and brake lights. The fit and finish are nice and tight throughout and the pickup bed is clean and presents very well.

The cabins of these early V-8 Ford Pickups are simple but appreciated by enthusiasts. The bench seat is lined in vegan black leatherette and both crank windows go up and down with ease, with a pop-out windshield in the front. Mechanically, this Ford runs as good as it looks, as the 85-horsepower, 221-cubic-inch V-8 engine fires right up and the three-speed manual transmission shifts through the gears with ease. The engine bay is tidy and features all the correct parts.

With the interest only continuing to rise in these light-duty pickups, this nicely restored Ford 1/2-Ton Pickup is one that will stand out in the crowd, while providing pleasure from its performance to and from one's desired destination.
