The 1941 Dodge Power Wagon has a rich history rooted in military necessity and rugged utility. Originally developed as the WC series for the U.S. Army during World War II, these trucks were built to withstand the toughest terrains and conditions. Their success in wartime led Dodge to introduce a civilian version in 1946, marking the birth of the Power Wagon name. This model became one of the first mass-produced 4x4 trucks available to the public, setting the standard for off-road capability.

The 1941 models, like their later civilian counterparts, were built on a robust chassis with heavy-duty axles, a flathead 230-cubic-inch inline-six engine, and a four-speed manual transmission. These trucks quickly became favorites among farmers, construction workers, and utility companies, thanks to their incredible durability and versatility. In recent years, classic Power Wagons - especially pre-war and early post-war models - have gained significant popularity in the restomod scene. Enthusiasts and specialty builders are transforming these once-utilitarian workhorses into high-performance, luxury off-roaders. These restomod examples command premium prices today as they blend vintage appeal with contemporary modern-day performance.

An eye-catching example of a total restomod build of a classic Dodge Power Wagon, this example has been professionally transformed into a modern-day beast at a reported cost of over $175,000 and built on a GM suburban frame with modern-day suspension. Restored with a custom fabricated extended cab, the body is finished in Mopar PFB Sublime Green and rides on custom black Rhino wheels with Goodrich All Terrain T/A white letter tires. Its rugged and tough look includes a black Rhino bed liner and a 10,000-lb Traveller front-mounted winch with controller when you need to rescue friends and family.

Inside the custom extended cab, the seats have been inlaid with black and green upholstery, which matches the overall vibe of the cabin. Other interior features include a custom dash with Dakota Digital gauges and a modern Kenwood AM/FM stereo system, so one can enjoy the best of today's hits when ripping through rugged terrain, or just simply going to the local store. At the heart of this monster, is a modern 6.0-liter LS V-8 engine that is paired with a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission backed by an 8.6-inch 3.73 ratio GM rear differential. This restomod offers modern-day performance and reliability that can be used for off-roading fun on a regular basis.

With over a reported $175,000 invested in the build and less than 2,100 miles since completion, this one-of-a-kind Dodge Power Wagon 4x4 Restomod Truck is sure to continue to draw attention wherever it's taken and offers its next owner many more years of memorable off-road experiences.
