The successor to the 250 GTE 2+2 and the 330 America, the Ferrari 330 Grand-Touring (GT) 2+2 Series 1 debuted at the Brussels Motor Show in January of 1964. This attractive new model helped continue the success of the 2+2 models of the immediate past with several key updates, hoping to see an increase in sales over the 250 GTE 2+2. Ferrari's new four-seater featured a completely new body style pinned by Pininfarina, one that was very distinctive from the other new Ferrari models offered at the time. Notable cosmetic changes included more angular nose and tail sections from the 250 GTE 2+2 and the introduction of a wider front grille to help increase airflow to the engine, and of course the quad headlamps. Following in the footsteps of the 330 America in terms of its drivetrain, the 330 GT 2+2 shared its four-litre V-12 engine, which was mated to the existing four-speed manual gearbox. Wheelbase increased by two inches and, with the installation of Koni adjustable shock absorbers, handling improved immensely. Produced until 1966, approximately 625 first-series examples were built before Ferrari introduced a second-series version featuring dual headlamps and revised fender vents. It was sleek and handsome by design and its often noted that the Series 1 was one of the very few Ferrari road cars that Enzo Ferrari himself would drive on a regular basis. Today, many Ferrari enthusiasts favor the original series for its unique and striking design.

Delivered to its first owner through Luigi Chinetti Motors, Inc. New York, it stayed on the East Coast for a number of years. By the 1990s, this 330 GT had made its way to the West Coast where it was purchased in 1996 by Robert Warren of Washington State. Following long-term ownership, it was relocated to Southern California, where it was treated to a top-shelf three-year comprehensive restoration that was performed by marque experts Rex Nguyen Restoration in Los Angeles, which was completed in 2020 and documented by invoice records. Originally factory-finished in Rosso Corsa over a Nero leather, during the restoration it was finished in its current and more eye-catching, exquisite color scheme of Verde Metallico over a captivating Connolly Couino Naturale leather, as well as period-correct carpet, vinyl, and trunk materials. Additionally, all the brightwork was polished or refurbished for a brilliant shine. Mechanically, key components such as the brakes, exhaust, cooling system, and front springs were gone through. The engine bay presents very well, which is ideal for show purposes, and the numbers-matching 4.0-litre V-12 engine of course also received a thorough tune-up. Under the care of the Passport Collection, it has been annually maintained, resulting in a wonderful GT 12-cylinder touring Ferrari that can be enjoyed upon purchase.

Accompanying the sale of this prancing horse is a 2025 Marcel Massini Resport, a binder with invoice records from Rex Nguyen Restorations and Bella Classics, Inc., various correspondence from the 330 GT registry, a copy of a 330 body parts catalog, and an original owner's manual. Presented here is a truly striking Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Series 1 that is draped in highly desirable Verde Metallico and is poised for not just show responsibilities at concours or Ferrari Club gatherings, but also to partake in roadgoing rallies and tours around the globe.
