The 2006 Hummer H1 Alpha represents the pinnacle of civilian H1 production, offering unmatched off-road capability with a refined dose of performance and durability. As the final evolution of the iconic H1, the Alpha was produced in limited numbers and marked a significant upgrade over previous models, especially under the hood. GM fitted it with a 6.6-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel V-8 engine paired with an Allison five-speed automatic transmission, delivering 300 horsepower and a formidable 520 foot-pounds of torque. This powertrain not only improved acceleration and drivability but also enhanced towing and overall performance on rugged terrain.

Designed originally as a military vehicle, the H1's civilian Alpha retained the same rugged DNA. It features portal axles for exceptional ground clearance, a Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS), and full-time four-wheel drive. The upgraded cooling system, larger brakes, and revised suspension made the Alpha more capable and reliable than any H1 before it. The H1 Alpha's exterior is unmistakably aggressive, with a wide stance, high ride height, and functional, no-nonsense design. Inside, it is more refined than earlier models, with leather trimmed seats, improved sound insulation, and modern amenities like power windows and a premium audio system.

The final and most powerful iteration of the Hummer H1, this particular example, 137PH84356E234434, is 1 of just 730 units built in 2006, and holds a special place in Hummer history as it was the last H1 to come off the production line sold to a civilian, as confirmed by AM General LLC. It was purchased new at Lockhart Automotive Group, Inc. in Fishers, Indiana, is accompanied by its original window sticker and purchase documents, and is being sold by the original owners estate.

A force to be reckoned with, as it mirrors its military counterpart, this H1 Alpha is finished in a stealthy Civilian Gloss Black, and rides on the optional Off-Road Adventure package 17-inch two-piece aluminum Alpha-only wheels that have been wrapped in four new run flat tires. Equipped with close to $20,000 in upgrades and accessories, other key items include the trailer towing package, a heavy-duty front brush guard, Hummer's quick release install roof rack, six lamp light bar kits with a deck mounted interior switch console, and a 2.5-HP Series power motor front winch that is capable of pulling 12,000 lbs. when needed. At the heart of this H1, is a monstrous 6.6-liter Duramax Turbo-Diesel eight-cylinder engine that has been designed to get you and your passengers in and out of any kind of situation. The engine is backed by a durable and reliable Allison M74 1000 series five-speed automatic transmission, while the body rides on four-wheel independent suspension and features strengthened brakes with ABS for extra stopping power.

The fortified cabin is inlaid with DLX leather interior and comes equipped with everything one would want while on an off-road adventure, or even during day-to-day use. Designed to appeal to the driver, the cabin features an optional Monsoon audio system, an interior sound insulation package, air-conditioning, heated front seats, heated power mirrors, heated windshield, power windows, power locks, and a deluxe rearview mirror with a compass, temperature gauge, and map light. Also equipped is a Uniden Bearcat PC78 Elite CB radio. In preparation for the sale, $15,000 in service work was completed, which included re-adhering the interior headliner, replacing the driver's side rear axle assembly, repairing the air-conditioning, installing two new batteries, and performing an oil change.

Documentation is extensive, and includes a clean CARFAX®, the original window sticker and purchase documents, a list of all items equipped to this H1, a large file of service invoice records, and original manuals. Also included in the sale is a large collection of hard-to-find spare parts, for the mechanical, interior, and external components.

Documented as the last civilian market Hummer H1 Alpha to roll off of the production line, well-optioned and recently serviced, this single owner from new example is a true piece of American automotive history and combines military-grade toughness with everyday usability to represent the ultimate expression of the H1 lineage.
